A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

After finding pet sitting hard to come by  with my own two dogs  I decided to start up Led By Dogs in 2012 and share my love of animals with my clients and pet owners. Since I was young I’ve always loved animals and walked neighbours dogs to earn some pocket money. I studied Animal courses in the veterinary field and just renewed my Canine First Aid certificate so your dogs will be in the best place should anything happen. I hope I get the chance to meet your lovely pet soon. We are looking at introducing Canicross which is for any breed of dog from the age of 12 months. The human has a belt with a bungee line attached to the dog with a purpose made  canciross harness. We dont recommend the harnesses that come across the chest as that restricts the dogs natural movement.

DOG WALKING ONLY CURRENTLY

The dogs are  with my own two dogs Fletcher and Fizz. I'll have your pet if your  just out for the day or regular days during the week. I make sure your pets get plenty of fresh air and exercise in order to develop their physical fitness and social skills. We will be introducing canicross to the dog that are able to run 5k minimum as a extra treat. This will take part in the cooler times of the year. Starting at the end of september 2022. YOUR DOG MUST BE FULL GROW TO TAKE PART IN THIS SPORT WHICH IS EITHER 12 MONTHS FOR SMALLER BREEDS AND 18 MONTH FOR LARGER BREEDS IE RETRIEVER,  GERMAN SHEPHERDS SIZE.

I specialise in rescue dogs after having 4 years in rescue centre taking the dogs out for basic training for them to get a better chance of rehoming. The dogs are  match to make sure no dog is overwhelmed if they want a more sedate walk with calmer dogs or they want a friend to have a rough and tumble with.

I am looking to offer a days walks at a additional cost which will mean they are with me for both the morning first thing walk and the  second walk or a later in the afternoon walk weather permitting.
